Livia

I was born in Rome and spent the years of my childhood in England, France and Italy. After my Communication Design studies at Art Center College of Design (Europe), I worked as Art Director in advertising in Milan, Rome and New York.
In Milan, I developed my passion for ceramics and learned to throw at the professional school Scuola Cova. In parallel, I attended the open evening studio by Migno Amigoni in via Jan.

In 2006 I moved to Berlin, and began working in the ceramic atelier of the BBK Berlin, where I started an artistic research with a series of unique ceramic pieces.

In 2014 I opened my own studio, where I continue my non-functional research, the production of small series, and where I give ceramic courses on request.

My work was presented at Operae Independent Design Fair in Turin (I) in 2014 and in 2016, and in 2015 at eCo-lor Design, Spoleto,(PG).
Further, my ceramics were exhibited at the Milan Furniture Fair in 2014, 2016 and 2017 in the stands of Ernesto Meda, Flou, Living Divani, Lema, and in the Spotti and Gervasoni showrooms.

In 2013 I participated in a group exibition curated by Peter Benson Miller “The Naturalists” in Castelluccio, La Foce, (I) and in 2015 in the group show curated by Caro Surkemper “De Lirio - Raritätenladen Vol.1”, Frankfurt (D)

Since 2015 I teach ceramics to children at the elementary school "Finow Grundschule", Berlin.
